We promote awareness and understanding of diverse cultures, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives across our organization and encourage employees to embrace our differences. We do this by facilitating dialogue in workshops, inviting diversity experts to speak to colleagues and offering other learning opportunities with community-based organizations.
WE ACTIVELY BUILD DIVERSE REPRESENTATION
To increase diverse representation across Eisai, we are investing in making significant outreach efforts in our recruitment and hiring activities to help broaden our networks. In addition to sending large recruiting teams to Diversity Career Fairs, we train our hiring managers and our recruiting staff to increase representation of candidates across all ethnicities and gender when building our teams and to be aware of and eliminate unconscious biases.
DEVELOP AND GROW ALL OUR COLLEAGUES
All our leaders and managers participate in training that helps them understand their critical role in championing diversity and inclusiveness across our company. Throughout the year, we conduct analyses of our diversity within departments and levels of the organization and review and discuss the data. We have a popular mentoring program where employees are encouraged to partner with experienced professionals to build their network and discuss how they can advance their careers.
WE MAKE HEALTHCARE EQUITY A PRIORITY
Eisai supports important initiatives that help to address healthcare disparities in underserved communities through our Corporate Advocacy teams. We are also committed to maximizing clinical trial access for all patients, regardless of their ethnicity, race, sex, age, socio-economic status, gender identity, geographic location, or physical abilities. As a company, we work to ensure that diversity in clinical trials and health equity is a core commitment across our organization and raise awareness within the pharmaceutical industry.
